These shorts takes inspiration from the Gurkha shorts, with its double pleated front, high waist and knee length wide legs opening for optimal airflow. They have been simplified by adding a regular waist band instead of the high, cummerbund-style waistband with buckle fastenings, otherwise characteristic for Gurkha pants.
They have been crafted in a heavy duty black twill with piped seams throughout.
Today, this style is still produced in various forms and colors by fashion designers and manufacturers of military-style clothing – a testament to the enduring style and functionality of this jacket.
