This coat transcends the realm of conventionality by tapping directly into the epicenter of counter-culture at its peak, with Dennis Hopper at the helm, portraying his unapologetic self in his 1971 documentary about his life in the wake of his box office success, 'Easy Rider'.

Throughout the film, Dennis Hopper is seen sporting a peacoat-esque jacket cut from a New Mexico Chimayo blanket done by local artisans. It is this mythical jacket we sought to recreate with a subtle contemporary touch, yet staying true to the craftsmanship and style, inherent to the Chimayo weaving tradition. It has been cut from a 210 cm x 160 cm Chimayo styled blanket, hand loomed in 100% fine New Zealand 2-ply wool and tailored into this meticulously done overcoat.
