Barn jacket

The Barn jacket, often interchangeably called Chore jacket, originated in the  '20s as utilitarian workwear and has since transformed into a staple American icon.

In our reinterpretation we have focused on accentuating the quintessential design elements unique to this jacket type, with the scope to give it some more edge to make it stand out amid other market alternatives. This includes an extra pointy collar silhouette with narrow notch spread done in signature corduroy, enlarged hip pockets and custom-made buttons and rivets. To keep it simple and clean we opted for an unlined shell construction with triple stitched main seams and French seams finishing on the inside. French seams are a sewing technique used to enclose the raw edges of fabric inside a neatly finished seam, providing a clean and polished look on the inside of a garment. This technique not only improves the garment's aesthetics but also its overall quality and longevity.
