The leading producers of the leather-yoked down vest were established in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, known as "The Cowboy State," in the late 1960s. They introduced this iconic vest style with a seamless, single-piece leather yoke, originally designed for cowboys. The yoke's inspiration came from the leather capes worn by Native Americans. These down vests became well-known for their cold-resistant and heat-retaining properties, similar to feather beds.

Our interpretation of the single-piece leather-yoked down vest builds on this heritage while adding accentuated shapes and details for a stronger impact:
